G.O.L.D, Alibi and Watch
Red Bee Media created the brand strategy, creative concepts and all design work for UKTV’s latest channel rebrands. We also developed the off–air campaigns, taking the strategic creative concepts across press, posters, digital signage and online. This 360° approach to branding and promotion ensures both creative continuity and the ability to drive audiences across a broad range of engaging media with maximum impact
UKTV Gold has been rebranded G.O.L.D. (Go On Laugh Daily) as a pure comedy channel. The identity uses a mind map concept to lead the viewer around the channel’s wealth of classic comedy programmes. We created four idents using the G.O.L.D. logo, the acronym and well known comedy quotes to reinforce the comedy credentials of the new channel.
UKTV Drama has been re–branded as Alibi – ‘The deadliest place on TV’. As the channel is devoted to showing crime drama, the idents we created show various ‘alibis’ incorporated within familiar crime scene settings.
Watch is “Simply good TV”, showcasing quality programmes like ‘Cranford’ and ‘Mistresses’ along with early evening entertainment from Richard & Judy’s New Position. For the brand’s logo we designed a massive 20–foot inflatable eyeball called ‘Blinky’. Keep an eye out for him rolling down hills, through cities and across pebble beaches in the channel idents and lounging around on a variety of sofas in the print campaign.
