Say hello to a whole new BBC Three World!
Sadly the time had come for the BBC Three blobs bite the bullet and make way for something newer, brighter and more engaging. After a competitive pitch we worked collaboratively with the BBC to strategically set out the new positioning of the channel, its brand personality and tone of voice.
The challenge was to make BBC Three feel alive with creative energy, buzzing with new talent and offering genuine viewer interaction beyond traditional programmes. As a result, the channel has been transformed into a truly multiplatform entertainment hub for a new generation of media savvy young people.
The new identity
The new look captures the maverick spirit of the channel, showcasing a unique and colourful world, full of weird places and quirky characters. The brand has been created to give a seamless experience across TV, internet and mobile platforms, incorporating a new logo, colour palette and graphic system. We also created a range of innovations for the channel's junctions utilising user generated content for presenter links and opinion slots called 'Three Views.'
