Man’s Work for Bravo

You know the world is changing when a media owner makes a programme available for download a week before its TV premiere. What would’ve been heresy only a few years ago, now forms the basis for a promotional campaign strategy.

In this case, the campaign for “Man’s Work” was all part of edgy lads’ brand Bravo’s on–going ambition to establish itself as the Number One entertainment portal in its category - not merely the best channel. With Bravo’s parent company, Virgin Media TV, an established client, we were delighted to give them a hand.

Using our content management system, Digital Hive, we ingested and transcoded the programme. Next, our on–demand content distribution platform powered the video content hosting and web download page, plus the delivery of files via Content Delivery Networks (CDN). The platform also ensured secure delivery through digital rights management and provided usage reporting.

Virgin Media TV was so pleased with the campaign results that Bravo’s sister channel, Trouble TV, subsequently asked us to do a similar job on “The Secret Life of Us”.

Seems there’s some future in the heresy business after all.
