Here at Red Bee Media we like a challenge. So when UKTV asked us to launch their latest channel – UKTV Style Gardens - in as little as seven weeks, we jumped at the chance. Usually the minimum is ten, but the infrastructure in the Broadcast Centre and our streamlined processes allow us to launch channels very quickly.

We already playout UKTV's array of channels, that's true. But the main reason why we are able to pull this off was because of our unique ‘soup to nuts’ expertise, offering all the skills needed to launch a complex channel within one company - including communication launch strategy, promotions, airtime allocations and playout.

What’s more, using something called (rather scarily) our pre-emptive playout capacity, we were able to begin transmission before the permanent control room was fully functional.

We’re very proud of our record-breaking efforts which we feel showed Red Bee Media at its end–to–end best.
