We joined forces with the BBC, Endemol and Camelot (operators of the UK National Lottery) to show clips of the UK’s National Lottery ‘Daily Draw’ on the BBC’s website, bbc.co.uk/lottery, both quickly and securely. Digital Hive provided the perfect solution.

Initial (an Endemol company) film and package the show at The National Lottery Headquarters. The programme is then whisked away to our West London Broadcast Centre via encrypted FTP as a MPEG2 asset.

Through the ingest and transcoding magic of Digital Hive we then make it available in high and low resolution versions, in both Windows Media and Real Media formats. After a speedy quality assurance check, the packages are then uploaded to the BBC website.

This enables lottery players to view draw results at any time on the internet from their own PCs. Hurrah and good luck...!
