Piero
Piero is a revolutionary sports analysis device that allows viewers to see play from angles that can't be captured by conventional cameras. Adopted by sportcasters around the world (including BBC, ITV, Sky Sports Italia and i-CABLE Hong Kong), it allows on-screen talent to illustrate their commentary with unseen perspectives and dynamic graphics.
Case study: Dynamic Sports Results
For BBC Sport, we've designed a system that delivers results graphics that are engaging, up-to-date and visually dynamic. Integral to this, is a cost-effective way of collecting huge quantities of data and through easy interface access, allowing the production team to identify and illustrate the day's most interesting stories.
Case study: Olympic Results
Working with BBC Sport, we created a results system for Athens 2004 that could stand up to the rigorous Olympic schedules and generate dynamic graphics accurately and reliably. Producers could call-up the latest results from the database, browse templates to easily find relevant information and then create real-time graphics.
Case study: Swiss Parliamentary Elections
Working with SF-DRS, Switzerland's German language public broadcaster, we developed a data gathering system and designed a set of graphic templates to visualise live election results and changes in voting patterns, plus the effect they would have in the context of the Swiss parliament.
Case study: Auto 3D Weather Forecaster
Working with the BBC Weather production team, we devised a mini TV presentation system that produced hourly, automated and presenter-free forecasts whilst maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.
