Any trip to NAB is a big event. But, for Red Bee Media this April is a landmark. It’s the first time since we’ve been rebranded, and since we have started to operate as an independent but wholly owned Ericsson company.

With data and online on everyone’s mind, we are very proud to demonstrate our one stop shop enabling broadcasters, operators, content owners or anyone in need of an online channel to go from nothing to a channel launched in days.

NAB has over 100,000 attendees from 161 countries and 1,800 plus exhibitors to make the industry that unites us even more dynamic. We’ve got a lot to show and talk about, including our new brand and how we operate our professional, passionate and innovative brand values. As we are fully owned by Ericsson but operate as an independent entity with a dedicated market engagement model that is fit for purpose, we are keen to demonstrate the value we bring with our services.

At NAB we’ll be showcasing a new generation of ASR which enables a wider audience to engage with content in a much more accessible way. My colleague, Matt Simpson, will be giving a very interesting presentation on the subject Thursday April 12th (in the North Hall N255). Don’t miss it.

We will be talking about the capabilities we are able to offer through the delivery of linear playout services from entirely software-based platforms and refined operational process, to deliver the increased levels of flexibility, agility and time to market that our premium customers now require.

Behind the scenes, our online video engineering team has been working on launching online video faster and easier than anyone in the market, a complete one stop shop launch of a channel in a matter of days.

We’ll also be talking about Content Discovery, which is also an important part of our growing online and OTT offer.
