CES 2024 HIGHLIGHTS 

The Consumer Electronics Show is one of the largest technology trade shows in the world. Held annually in Las Vegas, CES 2024 welcomed more than 135,000 attendees, with a record 40+ percent attending from 150 countries, regions and territories.

 

 

Andy Roberge, our Director of Sales for Red Bee Discover, provides expert insight into featured trends at the event and talks about the conversations he had with customers during the first trade show of 2024.

 

 

 

From a media perspective, what were the most fascinating trends at CES 2024?

  • The ubiquity of artificial intelligence: AI was everywhere. Whether you like it or not, it is here to stay.  How it gets used in our space is still open, but it will be a major tool in editorial and content creation.
  • Artificial intelligence in daily life: AI running your daily life was a key topic. As soon as you step into your home, AI controls everything from lights, and TV to room temperature. It will remind you of appointments and that your favorite show airs tonight.
  • Artificial intelligence’s impact on trends: AI can predict trends that marketing and ad firms can take advantage of. In the past, a trend would be born organically, now AI can predict and even create trends that ad firms can sell ads against.

What kind of conversations did you have with customers at CES? 

  • Enhancing viewer experiences: I spoke to a consumer electronics company about how we can provide sports schedules and time slots with live scores and info. This would allow them to direct users to OTT platforms by showing them scores and where to access them.
  • Exploring seamless control: I talked to a smart home technology provider about their data-driven intelligent cloud platform. They have a whole home control system. This system can detect the OTT services your TV provides access to. Our OTT data would be used to show details and allow deep links to access the content.
  • Unlocking possibilities: One of the leading global technology companies is currently licensed to Stats Perform’s sports data. Since our information is tied to that dataset under our partnership deal, this has sparked some potential interest in certain aspects of our content in relation to Stats Perform.
