Channel Store

Red Bee Media boasts one of the fastest-growing global repositories of linear TV and radio services, with access to more than 10,000 channels from over 100 suppliers around the globe. Our Channel Store easily aggregates live content from multiple sources over Red Bee Media’s global network including internal and external Playout sources, fixed-line fibre connections, web streams, internet delivery and satellite down-link via our own teleport facility.

Channel Store delivers live video and audio in multiple ways; DVB multicast streams, internet CDN, satellite up-link, point to point secure internet delivery, and uploads to AWS and Google Cloud applications. We can connect any media in any format to any location in the world.


Our UHD services include encoding of Quad 3G-SDI video, 12G-SDI video or IP (transcoding) into MPEG-2, H.264, H.265 (HEVC) and MPEG Dash and are compatible with High Dynamic Range formats such as HDR-10 and HLG for onward distribution to a destination of your choice. ABR transcoding: High quality and scalable multi-format ABR transcode and packaging services with DRM, HLS and DASH. Our standard encoding services handle HD / SD base band SDI video into MPEG 2 and H.264 for coding and multiplexing.


In a crowded media space where quality of consumer experience matters, we provide the services to seamlessly deliver your live content to consumer devices and provide a broadcast media grade experience under agreed SLA including global HTTP and HTTPS Caching, IPTV and OTT, and mobile devices. We can quickly add CDN services to existing services where we already manage playout, channel store, encoding, and transcoding, reducing the complexity of multiple service providers for our customers and offering the one-stop-shop for content delivery. By connecting CDN, we can offer end to end monitoring of customers media workflow via our global services team, ensuring the quality of service and consumer experience management (CEM).


We manage our own teleport facilities across Hilversum Media Park, Netherlands; Stockholm, Sweden; Broadcast Centre, Chiswick Park, London, and Salford, Manchester, United Kingdom, with up-link and down-link access to the world’s telecommunications satellite networks.

We are uniquely positioned to provide you with a direct point to point connections direct to major Broadcasters and Distributors such as BBC, BT Sport, Canal Plus, Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV, ITN, JSTV, NPO, NOS, TV4, UKTV, Liberty Global, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Ziggo and Delta. We have 4,000 POP’s to deliver 24/7 and occasional live services across our Global Network and via third-party partner networks.


Bonded cellular networks are increasingly used by our customers to provide fast and cost-effective transport of video from the field, studios and live event venues (e.g. News, Sports) into the broadcast chain. We can quickly supply the mobile transmitters to support your needs in the fields, on a short-term event or on long term managed service basis.

Our global MCR already receives hundreds of hours of mobile video over platforms like Mobile Viewpoint and Live-U for onward processing and delivery. Leveraging Ericsson’s unique relationship with major mobile operators like Vodafone and T-Mobile. Red Bee Media also provides the expertise and management to handle the entire broadcast chain, from transmitter to encoder, glass to glass, with 24/7, 365 days year managed services.


We monitor the entire end-to-end media chain, 24/7, 365 days a year, with highly experienced broadcast engineers available to deal with any issue at any time. Our global network operations centre in Romania oversee our distributed media infrastructure and software applications, with real time advanced analytics and monitoring that allows immediate first line response, followed up by local smart hands for root cause analysis and problem management. We provide aggregated monthly reporting against key performance indicators and hold monthly service delivery reviews to provide contract governance, focus and assurance.
